Stockholm, 26 May 2026. Scaleout has been named winner of the 2026 Security Award (Årets säkerhetspris), Sweden's national recognition for technology that strengthens the country's security, resilience and societal trust. The award was presented by Minister of Defence Pål Jonson at Stockholm Tech Show, together with John Billow, Director of Sweden's National Cybersecurity Center, and Åsa Zetterberg, CEO of TechSverige and jury chair.
The award is presented by TechSverige, Sweden's tech industry organisation, together with SME-D, the trade body for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Swedish defence sector. It honours companies, organisations and individuals whose work contributes to Sweden's preparedness, resilience and security, digitally, civilly and militarily.
Scaleout was recognised for technology that trains AI models locally, where the data resides, without sensitive information ever leaving the edge. The approach makes advanced AI possible in environments where centralised methods break down, particularly in defence, industry and critical infrastructure.
"Scaleout Systems is a cutting-edge technology company driving the development of secure and advanced AI. With impressive innovative strength and world-class solutions, the company demonstrates how technology can strengthen Sweden's security, resilience and competitiveness."
The jury highlighted Scaleout's dual-use profile, the same platform serving civilian industry and security-critical applications, and its participation in NATO's innovation programme, DIANA.
"Recognition from Sweden's defence and tech communities, presented by the Minister of Defence, is a strong signal that sovereignty in AI is becoming a structural requirement, not just a policy aspiration. That is what our platform is built for: enabling AI where the data lives, without ever having to move it."

About Scaleout
Scaleout builds the Sovereign Edge AI Platform: federated machine learning that trains where data lives, on drones, vehicles and industrial fleets, without raw data ever leaving the edge.
Scaleout was selected for NATO DIANA with the FEDAIR project for federated aerial intelligence in contested environments, and co-deploys with Oracle for tactical-edge federated learning. The company works with BAE Systems Bofors, Saab, and Sweden's Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) on defence AI, and with Scania/Traton on industrial deployments.
